Two For One
Well, as you probably noticed I get slack on the weekends keeping up with this blog thing. I did not, however, get slack with the Project 365 photos. Sunday Jason, Matt, and I went hiking at Crowder's mountain. This was billed as a beginner's hike. That was a total lie! I guess it is probably an intermediate hike, but when you are a smoker and haven't regularly worked out in over a year, it feels more like an extreme expert hike. It starts off pleasant enough with a slight incline and beautiful scenery. While the scenery remained beautiful the incline increases drastically. It's basically like walking up the side of a banked race track for a mile. Then to add a slight degree of difficulty there are three hundred stair steps at the end before you reach the peak. As if my legs weren't tired enough now I have to climb stairs? After all that torture and turmoil, when we finally got to the top it was totally worth it. I don't think I've ever seen a more amazing view in North Carolina. After this experience, I am jacked to go out and see what more my home state has to offer.
The second picture today was sort of a redo of a picture I took earlier last week of Sarah. I really enjoy taking candid shots of people. I also like to be very sneaky. Anyway I took a picture of Sarah and posted it on my facebook with a caption about her not looking very happy that I had snapped the photo. The next day she commented the photo with a very sarcastic "thanks a lot". So I was at it again tonight with the sneaky picture taking when she came outside. I tried to snap off a quick shot after she locked the door at Jackson's. I was caught, but I did get a fantastic shot before almost being attacked.
